In her most recent installation, "Fallen Leaf", Diana De Aguinaga
presents a compassionate and intimate view of the struggles one faces when unexpected fears become reality. The video transitions between the quiet emotional re-telling of a woman’s most life-changing moment, and the calm dream-like beauty of her exploring the silent wilderness. De Aguinaga creates the indescribable emotions, so often beyond words and explanation, that one feels when faced with a truth that will change a person for the rest of their lives. "Fallen Leaf" takes those inexpressible thoughts and the rawest of human emotions, fear, love, uncertainty, and shows them with the softest and kindest touch. Shifting between a dreamy forest world and a tender confessional, "Fallen Leaf" captures both the conscious and subconscious workings of the human mind.

As with her previous work Diana pushes the viewer to question the
reality of what is before them, and asks them to explore not only the truth within the piece but the doubt within themselves.
